The following section will provide an overview of development and humanitarian assistance being provided to Pakistan. Read the latest posts related to development, humanitarian and aid issues.
Overview
From a humanitarian perspective, a major issue for Pakistan at this time is the large scale displacement of population from Waziristan due to the military operations in that area. On the development end, the Pakistani government receives foreign aid to improve governance structures, rule of law, security, and overall infrastructure and to foster social and economic development.
